Garth Brooks

Anyone who knows Brady, knows he might leave me one day for Garth Brooks. :) We both love his voice, writing, and music so much. Our first boy will be named Brooks after Garth that is how much we love him. Back in February we waited on the phone/internet for 5 hours to get tickets to his monthly show in Vegas. We didn't have much hope, but got 4 tickets at the last possible moment. Brady's brother Ryan and his wife Darci joined us and it was a quick trip. We left the night of Thursday June 24th and drove to Mesquite. The next morning we drove to Vegas to eat at the Planet Hollywood buffet and see the main event! Garth was so good. He sang songs from artists that inspired his career and then ended the show with his songs. He told a lot of neat stories and we even saw Trisha for a couple songs. He took requests and put on a show that you cannot see anywhere else. It was so intimate and casual at the same time. All he wore was work boots, jeans, an old faded hoodie, and a ball cap. In the end, Brady came home with me... barely! ; ) We drove back to Mesquite then got up early the next morning to make it for my Grandma's surprise 75th birthday party. I can't wait for Garth's youngest girl to graduate high school so he can get back on the road and tour.

Sidenote: While walking the strip before the show we saw Pete Rose who was signing autographs for money (surprise, surprise). Pretty cool to see a baseball legend though.

I am sure the highlight of Brady's summer was the Garth Brooks concert. Love the picture of him in the same pose as Garth. Glad you had such a good time. You are right.....Brady would probably leave you for Garth....look out Trisha and Laurel :)
