The Elders Quorem threw us a going away party and we ate barbeque turkey (a first one for me and really good) and then swam with Paisley til exhaustion! They had the cutest floating device and Paisley sat in it the whole time. Her smile above shows her excitement perfectly. She just laughed the entire time she sat in it.
Here are some of my best friends I have met through marriage. They married Brady's high school friends and I couldn't have picked better friends. We had fun having a few baby showers this summer and it is the best to all have children within a year!
We are going to miss all of our nephews and neices especially for Paisley to not be able to play with them, they are all so sweet with her.
Paisley has started eating baby food and rice cereal this summer and LOVES it! She thinks she needs to feed herself and she ends up looking like below:

Brady's uncle and aunt got back from being over the Montana mission last month and we got to go hear them speak and see family before moving. This is Brady, his mom Leslie, and me.

Brady with his Grandpa Fisher.
Brady with his Grandma Fisher.

Kurt is such a good grandpa. He is always with the kids and he can go hours on Sundays just entertaining them.

Paisley and her Great Grandpa Fisher.
Our awesome friends threw us a going away pool party with good food. It was sad to say goodbye, but a lot of fun with all the children and the swimming.
This is a picture of Paisley right before she got her cast off. Her smile seems as if she knows what is coming.

It is hard to tell in this picutre, but her arm and fingers were so swollen and red. Her finger nails were also so long! She would rub her arm over things to itch it. Now weeks later it is looking right back to normal and her thumb looks great.

When Brady and I went to Pittsbugh to buy a house, I had a breakdown about the age and condition of the homes and nonetheless we decided to not buy a house. We ended up finding a great rowhouse (townhouse) to rent. The first time we walked through I thought it was livable and Brady was disgusted. We asked the owners about any future updates that were planned and declined renting it after hearing none. After driving/crying around Pittsburgh the rest of the day without any clue if we would buy/rent or where to look, our prayers were answered. They agreed to replace all the carpet, repaint everything, and clean it to look much better. We were nervous to see if the would live up to their end of the agreement, but when we arrived we were so grateful. It is a great little home for us for the next 4 plus years. Pictures will come once everything is in order. It is old and has it's flaws, but it is so much better than most places we have seen. Well anyways now to explain the picture above, since Brady and I had come to Pittsburgh for 6 days and signed a lease on day 2, we had a lot of time to kill. Plane tickets were too expensive to switch to and it would be $800 more to drive the rental car to Utah! (Can you tell we wanted to get back to Paisley?) Anyways we decided to go to Kirtland and visit Brady's mission in Coilumbus. It was so much fun and we got to go to the first Sunday in a church that was announced to be built the last day of Brady's mission. Brady said we could go see the Columbus Temple or the Horseshoe (Ohio State's Football Field) and of course the football field won out. That is Brady in front of the enormous place!

Here is a picture of Brady and I at the Newell K Whitney store in Kirtland. It was so amazing to be in rooms Joseph Smith wrote scripture and lived in. It was sad to see the condition of the temple since the reorganized church owns it and hasn't taken as good of care of it knowing how the church cares for temples, but it was amazing to see church history.

I had to get a picture of Paisley's favorite thing in the whole world! She can bounce in this for over an hour straight! It is such a great babysitter ; ). Now that she has her cast off, she keeps her right arm in the air as if she is a bull rider, it is hilarious! She just bounces and laughs all while watching me or the t.v.

We went camping with the Mock's and were so lucky to use my Grandma's trailer instead of staying in a tent with Paisley. Unfortunately I am so bad at taking pictures and this is the only one we have.

Again, this is the only picture we have from the 4th of July weekend. We went to Idaho Falls and spent time with my sister and her family.

We had such a fun summer and we are grateful for all the time we could spend with family and friends. Everyone went to so much effort in our benefit with parties and other things especially with moving. Thank you to everyone, we miss you all already, and we will be back "home" in Utah for Christmas. Until then I will do my best to get pictures on the blog of Paisley for family and friends in the West.

Thanks for taking so much time to update your blog. I know it will be a visual lifeline for many of us in the west hoping to share portions of your new life in Pittsburgh. I leave for the airport in 6 hours to go home and so I can hardly read through the tears. I am so very proud of you Laurel and absolutely know the Lord has taken such good care to place you in a wonderful neighborhood and ward. I feel comforted leaving knowing that you already have loving and caring friends. I love you and will MISS you more than you will realize till little Paisley does the same thing to you. Mommy's LOVE and ADORE their children.
HOW CUTE!! She is looking more and more like a Mock. So cute. It'll be so fun to live away for a while. It's hard sometimes, but totally worth it. Cute pics of the girls too!
I MISS YOU TOO! Come home! I am so glad you did this post! I love all of the pictures! I can't wait to see your cute townhome! I hope Brady is loving school, he will do so good! Oh I am so glad that you guys have good neighbors and a good ward! Thanks for updating the blog and keep doing it! Tell Brady and Paisley hi! We miss you guys so much! I can't wait to see you in december! Miss you and love you! Hope you are happy!
Great post Laurel! Thanks for the update. We hope everything continues to go well for your cute little family. Keep us updated and call me if you ever get bored!
wow you guys have been busy! i loved all the pics, your little paisley is a doll! absolutely adorable. glad to hear things are going well in pittsburgh! thanks for your comment on my post a little while ago, btw. jeff was possibly going to do a 2 week audition rotation there, but it's looking like it is a no go right now. it's kind of tacky that i posted that on my blog, but we have to pay for all of these travel expenses for all of his different audition rotations (not to mention application fees and travel for interviews coming up) and it is so so expensive!! so i posted that on my blog in hopes of finding connections and places for him to possibly stay... so save up for that for fourth year!!! but it's still a possibility he could get an interview there, bc he's still going to apply. that would be awesome if we did end up moving there, then we would at least know you guys! anyway, good luck with things and we'll be in touch!
Love all the pictures! Looks like you guys have had a great summer so far. Glad you are all settled into your new home, can't wait to see the pictures. Love you!
YAY! I'm so happy you are here! We will have so much fun together these next 4 years. And these stories I hear from Paul about him and Brady in class just kill me. We might have to separate them a little...hehe. Can't wait for our cruise tonight! See ya soon.

I can't believe how big Paisley had gotten since we saw here in early June. She looks so grown up and it getting lots of hair. Lots of cute pictures! Hope you like your new place and find some good friend to celebrate all the smaller holidays with, it's helps with the missing family thing. Good luck getting settled!
This post made me get teary eyed because it felt so real that you aren't going to be in Utah every time when we go to visit. I miss you...
Oh and by the way I am glad you are going to miss the Mocks so much and there is not one picture of us "W" clan ;)
Laurel,
Laughing at Em's comment about no pics of the "W"clan. Better get right on that.
