Well.. no I am not pregnant, but I did get to be a mother over the weekend while Emily and Greg were visiting from Idaho. I met Brady for dinner on Saturday night and surprised him by bringing Crew with me. I could see the fear in Brady's eyes when we sat down with our food and Crew started crying. I won't deny the nervousness I felt realizing I was the one responisble for the crying baby. After five minutes of bouncing Crew while Brady ate, Crew fell asleep and stayed asleep the rest of the night. Dinner was a learning experience and despite the nerves, I loved every minute of it. I grasped a little more understanding of parents worry as I was responsible for a baby. Crew is a little angel, but I was worried the whole car ride and dining experience for Crew's well being. At one point in the ride Crew fell asleep and I was so worried he had stopped breathing that I had to shake his arm to wake him up. He of course didn't like that and cried a little, but I would rather hear his cry then worry by chance he spit up in his mouth and stopped breathing. Brady laughed at my worries that were unlikely going to happen, but I love Crew so much I would be sick if anything happened on my watch. I hope I can be an amazing mom like Emily is to her boys. I have had great examples of wonderful mothers in my life including my mother, grandma char, my sister in laws, leslie, and my aunts.
